EU Protected Food name producers displayed their products at the Christmas Market held by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs at the New Covent Garden Market.
The Rt Hon Hilary Benn (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and his ministers gathered to promote the best of British regional and speciality foods at the Christmas market.
Minister for Food, Farming and Environment Jim Fitzpatrick said:
“2009 has been a good year for recognition of British products; Cornish Sardines are the third UK registration this year and bring the UK’s protected food name total to 40.”
